De Nederlandse Amber Delahaye studeerde grafische vormgeving in Eindhoven en illustratieve vormgeving en fotografie aan de Kunstacademie Maastricht. Tegenwoordig is ze een bekende naam in het Heerlense cultuurwereldje. Amber illustreert, heeft haar eigen bedrijfje en maakt ook schilderingen. Daarbij laat ze zich vaak door films en het sprookjesachtige inspireren.
Het project ontstond spontaan, als aanvulling op de centrumprojecten, nadat aanwonenden aangaven dat hen op was gevallen dat zowel achterzijde als zijgevels beschilderd waren, maar het deel aan de voorzijde niet, terwijl zij juist daar op uit keken. Goed argument. Daarom werd ook de voorzijde in twee oppervlakken verdeeld, waarvan Amber Delahaye één zijde als canvas kreeg toegewezen. Haar werk is geïnspireerd door de strijd die de mens tegen zichzelf voert in het beschermen van de aarde.
Het gebouw is inmiddels gesloopt.

Nowadays, she is a well-known name in the Heerlen cultural scene. Amber illustrates, has her own business and also makes paintings. She is often inspired by films and fairytales.
The project came about spontaneously, as an addition to the city centre projects, after residents indicated that they had noticed that both the back and side facades were painted, but not the part at the front, even though that is exactly where they looked out onto. Good argument. So the front was also divided into two surfaces, of which Amber Delahaye was assigned one side as a canvas.
Her work is inspired by man’s struggle against himself in protecting the earth.
The building has since been demolished.
