De uit Madrid afkomstige Dourone (Fabio Lopez Gonzalo) en de uit Parijs afkomstige Elodieloll (Élodie Arshak) zijn sinds 2012 levenspartners en een team. Zij zoeken constant een specifiek doel voor een bepaalde plek of tijd, onder de noemer “art for humans”. Ze willen visueel effect linken aan respect, diversiteit, tolerantie, delen en vrijheid.
Voor dit pand in Heerlen werkten zij samen aan een lastige opgave. De geribbelde gevel is moeilijk te bewerken, maar in combinatie met de spraycan ontstond een spannende combinatie. Deze wand was 360 m2 groot.
Nadat ze begonnen waren met hun werk aan de Spoorsingel verzuchtte een bewoner van de Willemstraat: “hopelijk komen ze het hoekje om”. Het pand was eerst een droevige eyecatcher, met deze mural was er duidelijk waarde toegevoegd. Het pand is inmiddels gesloopt.

They constantly seek a specific purpose for a particular place or time, under the heading “art for humans”. They want to link visual effect with respect, diversity, tolerance, sharing and freedom.
For this building in Heerlen, they worked together on a tricky task. The ribbed facade is difficult to work with, but in combination with the spraycan, an exciting combination was created. This wall was 360 m2 in size.
After they started their work on Spoorsingel, a resident of Willemstraat sighed: “hopefully they will come around the corner”. The building was first a sad eye-catcher; with this mural, it had clearly added value. The building has since been demolished.
