Google op Delta en je treft meteen kwalificaties aan als “the legendary graffiti pioneer”. Boris Tellegen, die opgroeide in Rotterdam en bekend is onder zijn artiestennaam DELTA, is al sinds de jaren tachtig actief als kunstenaar en werkt en exposeert over de hele wereld. Zijn stijl kenmerkte zich al vanaf het begin door geometrische figuren en driedimensionale letters. In de loop der jaren is hij naast zijn graffiti steeds meer ruimtelijk werk gaan maken, sculpturen en collages.
Aan het hofje van het wooncomplex tussen Betahuis en Nieuwe Nor maakte Boris een afbeelding die teruggrijpt naar o.a. de Nederlandse kunstrichting De Stijl, bekend van kunstenaars als Mondriaan en Rietveld. De mural is gemaakt op de achtermuur van het vernieuwde poppodium en heeft de letters IRL: In Real Life. Hiermee wil Boris zeggen dat je in de Nieuwe Nor artiesten life kunt zien en meemaken en niet, zoals gangbaar, vooral digitaal.

From the very beginning, his style was characterized by geometric figures and three-dimensional letters. Over the years, in addition to his graffiti, he began to create more and more spatial work, sculptures and collages.
In the courtyard of the housing complex between Betahuis and Nieuwe Nor, Boris created an image that harks back to the Dutch art movement De Stijl, known for artists such as Mondrian and Rietveld, among others. The mural is made on the back wall of the renovated pop venue and has the letters IRL: In Real Life. By this Boris means that in the Nieuwe Nor you can see and experience artists live and not, as usual, mainly digitally.
